Sony Electronics’ two newest WUXGA 3LCD laser projectors, the VPL-FHZ85 and VPL-FHZ80, combine brightness with efficiency, installation flexibility and advanced operational capabilities. The VPL-FHZ85’s size and weight make it the smallest and lightest in the mid-range projector class. The capable new models are a reliable option for a wide range of corporate, education, faith and e-sports applications.
A variety of features on the VPL-FHZ85 and VPL-FHZ80 contribute to the exceptional picture quality. The VPL-FHZ85 has a brightness of 7,300 lumens (8,000 lumens centre) and the VPL-FHZ80 has a brightness of 6,000 lumens (6,500 lumens centre), delivering rich images and meeting the demands of demanding lighting situations and locations.
“We’ve addressed our customers’ challenge to find choices that deliver both brightness and outstanding image quality as we continue to bring more robust and purpose-built projection solutions to market,” said Theresa Alesso, Pro Division President, Sony Electronics. “We’ve done exactly that with the VPL-8,000 FHZ85’s lumens centre, while continuing on Sony’s heritage of producing feature-rich laser projectors that are easy to install, run, and maintain, all while displaying an optimum, true picture,” says the company.
The projectors generate crisp and clear images for effective presentation and display thanks to Sony’s Reality Creation real-time signal processing, mapping, and analysis technology. Both new versions also offer 4K60P input, making them compatible with 4K video sources. Reality Creation’s capacity to improve the overall clarity, resolution, and quality of the visual, whether it’s images, graphs, or text, adds to this. The projectors’ new Reality Text function enhances the readability of text-based presentation materials by offering crisper letters and lines.
The projectors also include sophisticated Intelligent Settings that optimise performance based on the user’s environment. Colors may now be correctly maintained in highly light areas thanks to the addition of customizable Bright View capability. The new Ambiance function uses an ambient light sensor to automatically evaluate the brightness of the environment and adjusts the Bright View, colour gain, and Reality Creation settings accordingly. The new versions also have an automatic filter cleaning system and an efficient cooling system to provide long-term, trouble-free operation.
The projectors have a smart, blend-in design that can handle a variety of lenses and provide the largest vertical lens shift in the industry, at 70 percent. The models’ adaptability allows them to be used in a variety of installation and usage situations, as well as mounting configurations. Their installation versatility is further enhanced by thoughtful features such as a USB power supply for wireless presentations, auto power on capabilities, auto input selection, and a data cloning feature that allows a user to copy a projector’s settings onto a USB drive for easy replication to other projectors.
The new projectors are planned to be available in January 2022. For more information about these new models or Sony‘s lineup of 3LCD laser projector offerings, please visit pro.sony.
