Spencer found that xCloud works well on the Steam platform.
Xbox CEO Phil Spencer confirmed that Steam Deck will be able to launch Microsoft’s xCloud game streaming service. XCloud stands for Xbox cloud gaming. Microsoft xCloud currently provides a beta version in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which can provide more than one hundred PC console games over the Internet without console-level hardware. Spencer did not explain how it works, but since Steam Deck is essentially a mini PC, this is not far-fetched. However, it remains to be seen whether xCloud will run on the Steam platform. Customize the Linux operating system, or if you need to install Microsoft Windows first.

“I talked about Steam Deck [at Valve] this week,” Spencer wrote on Twitter. United States “After spending most of the week, I can say that this is Avery good device. The games you carry with you, the screen size, and the controls are great. Playing Halo and Age [of Empires] is great, and xCloud works well. [Steam Deck Team].
Microsoft XCloud is the first game streaming service officially confirmed to be compatible with the upcoming Steam platform. It can now be ordered and shipped from December, which also expands the features of the Steam platform, which would otherwise be limited by its hardware capabilities. XCloud support allows you to run more demanding games, such as the upcoming Halo Infinite or Forza Horizon 5. It is too early to say whether xCloud will provide 60 fps on the Steam platform. It usually targets a high-definition resolution of 30 fps: its 7-inch touch screen is 1280 x 800.

Steam Deck can also output 4K via any HDMI to USBC adapter or Valvemade’s official docking station (only available for purchase separately after the launch of Steam Deck), but this is useless because xCloud is limited to 1080p games anyway. After switching its xCloud infrastructure from Xbox One S to Xbox Series X later in 2021, 4K will be unlocked, but it is not clear when Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will provide 4K support for streaming games.
The starting price of the Steam Deck is 399 US dollars (approximately 29,600 rupees) in the United States, 349 pounds (approximately 35,850 rupees) in the United Kingdom, and 419 euros (approximately 36,630 rupees) in Europe. Not available in India. The game is currently available through Android and Windows 10 applications, as well as browsers (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari) on iPhone, iPad, and Windows 10.
